The characters in My Hero Academia are usually loved by millions of fans around the world as they progress through the anime. There’s a large roster of characters in the show, and the majority of them tend to stand out on their own, unlike characters in other anime shows. One of the most infamous and famous characters in My Hero Academia is Katsuki Bakugo.
Bakugo is Izuku Midoriya’s childhood “friend,” though “bully” would probably fit better. Bakugo is one of the strongest students at UA High, and he is also notable for having an irrational attitude that always resorts to anger. Though some may not like Bakugo’s character, fans can never dismiss that Bakugo has had some incredible moments in My Hero Academia.
10 Saving Deku’s Life
My Hero Academia certainly starts off as a light-hearted anime as a young boy attends school with wishes to become a hero. Slowly but surely, the anime takes twists and turns as these students are inevitably met with some of the most intense challenges they have ever faced.
The road ahead of them eventually brought Deku and Bakugo up against Shigaraki. Deku fought hard against the leader of the League of Villains, but once All For One awoke, Deku was seconds away from being killed. Instinctively, Bakugo shoved Deku out of the way and took an almost fatal blow.
9 Fighting Back Against The League Of Villains
The League of Villains wasn’t as terrifying as they are in the modern My Hero Academia timeline, but they were certainly nuisances back then. This was more than true when the League of Villains attacked UA High students and staff while they were away at camp.
The villains were after Bakugo, and they eventually kidnaped the student. While kidnaped, the League of Villains attempted to persuade Bakugo into joining them, but Bakugo heavily resisted and even attempted to fight the villains.
8 Beating Deku In A Fight
Deku and Bakugo fought for the very first time as part of one of their first assignments in which they were teamed up against one another. Bakugo lost in that instance, but after finding out that Deku carried One For All’s power, he sought a fair fight.
Bakugo got Deku outside one night and initiated a fight. This brought out an emotional side of Bakugo that many fans didn’t see before. Though Deku put up a great fight, Bakugo unleashed devastating blows and ultimately won the battle.
7 Being A Master At The Drums
During a small interval at UA High, when the anime felt more slice-of-life, the school was holding a festival in which the different classes could host their own events at. Class 1-A decided to hold a concert, as Jiro would be directing the whole ordeal.
They needed someone to play the drums, and to everyone’s surprise, Bakugo took on the challenge and showed everyone that he was actually amazing at the drums! This gives Bakugo even more personality and, overall, is just one of the more wholesome feats of the character.
6 Helping The Kids With Todoroki
Bakugo and Todoroki, despite being a couple of the strongest students in their class, weren’t able to obtain their provisional hero licenses during the exams. Because of this, they were attending special classes to help them get their licenses.
During one of these classes, the students were tasked with changing the hearts of a class of children. After a heavy struggle, the students finally constructed an amazing show to put on for the children. Not only that, but Bakugo delivered one of his most famous quotes in this scene, as seen in the picture.
5 The Internship With Best Jeanist
The students of class 1-A were tasked with finding a hero agency to attend an internship at so that they would gain experience that only being in the field of a hero would gift them. Bakugo decided to accept an internship offer from Best Jeanist, who was one of the highest-ranking heroes at the time.
To Bakugo’s disappointment, Best Jeanist would attempt to mold the student into a more respectable hero. Best Jeanist even fixed Bakugo’s hair to be tamer. Though Bakugo disliked the time there, there’s no doubt he learned a thing or two.
4 Team Bakugo Fights Class 1-B
During a training assignment, classes 1-A and 1-B were told that they would be going up against each other in teams of four. Bakugo was assigned to a team with Sato, Jiro, and Sero. The audience immediately assumes that Bakugo would fight on his lonesome, but he had a surprise for them!
Bakugo learned from his mistakes and ultimately led his team with some of the best strategies. With great leadership, team Bakugo won flawlessly.
3 Fighting Against Uraraka
U.A. High held its own Sports Festival FIghting Tournament in the early days of My Hero Academia (which can be watched on Hulu)! Bakugo was up to fight some pretty big names that reside in class 1-A, but he proved that he had no problem taking them on. Bakugo was to go up against Uraraka in their first battles.
When the fight started, Bakugo instantly gave 100% of his power into fighting Uraraka to take her out quickly. Little did Bakugo know that she held up an unseen strategy that actually gave her a good shot at winning. Bakugo inevitably won, though, and showed the persistence of the character.
2 Bakugo Beats Todoroki
Deku was to go up against Shoto Todoroki in his second battle of the U.A. Sports Festival Fighting Tournament. During this, Todoroki only used his ice powers when fighting as he rejected his fire powers. Deku resented this and gave Todoroki a speech that persuaded him to use his fire.
After Todoroki won, Bakugo was to fight against him and was excited to fight Todoroki while he used his ice and fire. Unfortunately, though, Todoroki wouldn’t give in to using his fire, and Bakugo won against him while being angry that Todoroki wouldn’t fight at his best.
1 Going Against All Might
Class 1-A was given some complicated assignments as part of their hero course in U.A High School. Among these assignments was one unique day in which the students were paired up against the staff of U.A. Bakugo was purposefully paired up with Deku, and they were to be fighting All Might!
When their battle started, Bakugo went off on his lonesome to fight All Might and was humbled as All Might sent him flying. When Deku saved Bakugo from All Might, the two finally worked together to win the test.
