MultiVersus season one has been delayed until further notice

MultiVersus went into open beta a little over a week ago, and it has captivated fans ever since. The fighting game allows you to battle it out as some of your favorite characters within the world of Warner Bros, such as Shaggy and Harley Quinn. Various patches have already released to improve the game and balance the battlefield. Recently, Bugs Bunny and Taz’s tornado attack were nerfed, and it’s expected that more tweaks will come in the future. As players look forward to season one, the MultiVersus team announced its delay. Initially planned for an August 9 release, season one and the release of certain characters will take a bit longer.

The developers announced that they made the decision to delay season one of MultiVersus on Twitter. The thread simply states that season one has been delayed. In addition, the playable Morty character, who was supposed to feature in the first season’s premiere, has also been delayed. The thread didn’t state a reason for the delay or provide a new season one release date, so we’ll have to be on the look out for further announcements.

MultiVersus season one could be worth the delay

While we wait for the launch of season one, let’s catch up on what MultiVersus has to offer. To start, the season is expected to be action-packed. The battle pass will have a total of 50 tiers of content and  a cost of 950 gleamium. It’s also worth noting that the current battle pass will now end on August 15 due to the delay. New content isn’t everything, though, as MultiVersus is still in its very early stages. The developers continue to squash bugs, gather community feedback, and improve the game overall.

If you want to jump into the game yourself, MultiVersus is free-to-play on the Epic Games Store and Steam. If you want to grab yourself even more perks, you can purchase a founder’s pack.
