Mortal Kombat 1 Switch

While Mortal Kombat 1 has been seeing an overall positive impression on most consoles, the same can’t be said of the Switch version. Fans aren’t pleased with some of the game’s visuals and performance on Nintendo’s platform. However, it sounds like there are at least plans to improve the experience on Switch.

In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, series creator Ed Boon said the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 “absolutely be getting an update”. He went on to say:

“And a number of the the concerns of the issues that had come up will absolutely be addressed. It would have been ideal for us to have released the version that we absolutely wanted. But anything that we’re finding a problem with is on our list and is going to be fixed.”

Boon added that the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 “will be supported, like we did with Mortal Kombat 11”. He noted: “Anything that we see that is not acceptable will absolutely be addressed.”

NetherRealm Studios actually had very little involvement with Mortal Kombat 1. The game’s development went to Shiver Entertainment and Saber Interactive. Shiver also worked on Mortal Kombat 11 for Switch, which turned out quite a bit better than the latest game.
