Modern Warfare 3’ and ‘Warzone’ Season 3 Reloaded revealed

Activision has revealed what the Season 3 Reloaded update will bring to both Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

The mid-season update is set to go live May 1 at 5pm BST, with a number of new maps, game modes and weapons available to players.

Two new game modes will be made available in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as part of the mid-season update. Minefield adds a number of proximity mines to existing multiplayer maps, with players needing to “watch their step” to succeed.

Elsewhere, escort games will task players with escorting a MAW through a number of different environments to hack a trio of points across the map.

“The MAW only moves forward if an attacking operator is nearby and will move in reverse if a defending operator closes the distance,” explains a dedicated blog. “Matches take place over two rounds, giving each team a turn on attack and defense. The team who hacks the most points or who hacks all three points in the shortest amount of time wins the match.”

Two new multiplayer maps, grime and checkpoint, have also been added to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone alongside items like enhanced vision goggles and EMD mines, while the next chapter of the zombies storyline will also be introduced.

“A new anomaly strikes the exclusion zone as the third dark aether rift appears,” reads the blog. “Dr. Jansen has been lured through its portal, and the operators of operation deadbolt must now conduct a rescue mission with Ravenov’s help to get her back before it’s too late. Prepare to face off against a horde of foes in this mid-season Story Mission, including a new Disciple variant that will put your squad’s slaying skills to the test.”

“That isn’t all that’s coming, either, though some [[REDACTED]] surprises are best left to our players to uncover,” added Activision.

Last month, an Illinois police department were forced to apologise for an offensive recruitment poster that was inspired by Call Of Duty.

In other news, a Gears Of War voice actor has hinted that the next game in the franchise will be revealed this summer.
