Minecraft Now Has An In-Game Tribute To Technoblade

Minecraft developer Mojang has placed a tribute to the late Technoblade in their Minecraft Java Edition launcher. 

As seen below, the pig in the picture for the Minecraft Java Edition launcher is now wearing a crown. Technoblade’s branding was a Minecraft pig outfitted in a royal robe and crown. 

Following the death of the content creator, the official Minecraft Twitter account shared a message: 

“We have been trying to find the words, but all of us here at Minecraft are heartbroken over the loss of Technoblade. He meant so much to our community and brought so much joy. He will be missed dearly.” 

Technoblade passed from stage four cancer shortly after completing the script of his farewell video. In the final video uploaded to the Technoblade channel entitled “so long nerds”, Technoblade’s Dad read out his late son’s message: 

“Thank you all for supporting my content over the years, if I had another 100 lives I think I would choose to be Technoblade every single time as those were the happiest years of my life. I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh, I hope you all go on to live long, prosperous and happy lives because I love you guys. Technoblade out.”

Following Technoblade’s death, an outpouring of condolences and stories about the late creator came from his colleagues and the wider Minecraft community.
