Wolverine is a great character in Midnight Suns, especially if you use him to the best of his ability. This guide can help.
Boasting a sprawling cast of some of the most iconic Marvel characters around, Midnight Suns has both amazing turn-based combat and an awesome one-of-a-kind story set in the Marvel Universe. Players can take on iconic characters like Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and even, bringing along his healing ability and adamantium claws to fight the forces of evil, Wolverine. In Midnight Suns, Wolverine is a tank that leans towards damage with lots of self-sustainability.
His “healing ability” from comic book lore is utilized in his card build as free revives and heals while his offensive claws give some amazing chain attacks and taunts. With the right build and perhaps more than any other character, Wolverine is difficult to permanently KO on the battlefield. However, getting his build to operate at its best takes a bit of clever planning combined with some RNG luck. To get the best out of his card kit, here’s the best build for Wolverine in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

How This Wolverine Build Works
Although Wolverine has mostly damage-focused abilities and traits, he is actually one of the best characters to take on a tank role in a strike team. While not as tanky as Captain America, Wolverine’s healing abilities can make him nearly unstoppable, especially when combined with a well-timed Taunt and Counter. However, because he’s not a complete tank, Wolverine can get focused down pretty quickly without keeping an eye on his health. Rapid Regeneration, which revives Wolverine with 50% health and Rapid Healing can bring Wolverine back to life after getting completely KO’ed. His revive ability also means players can save their only other Revive card for a different character — so having Wolverine on a team can breathe life into a losing match.
With a little luck on the card draws, the ability kit that Logan has can also be played in very crafty ways that may not seem obvious at first. For example, before ending a round Wolverine can set himself up by combining the lifesteal from Berserk with the Taunt and Counter from Stink of Fear. This makes it so every taunted enemy gets a self-healing counter-attack during enemy turns. Wolverine’s other abilities have some nice chain attacks, like Eviscerate, and generally, his legendary card, Midnight Special, can do huge amounts of damage in either individual or aoe damage.
Best Wolverine Team-Ups
Considering how much Wolverine can take damage as much as he can dish it out, there’s a strong argument to be made that he is the best tank in the game. What he lacks in the support and raw damage-soaking abilities of Captain America, Wolverine makes up for with healing, tricky ability combos, and huge amounts of damage when needed. Having Wolverine on the battlefield can be a game-changer and make for some exciting comeback victories. He is best used as a tank that leans towards damage. So pairing Wolverine up with most damage and support characters will yield some great combos.
Heroes like Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Blade, Scarlet Witch, Ghost Rider, and Hulk go great with Wolverine when paired with supports like Hunter, Nico, and Doctor Strange. Due to his healing and revive abilities though, Wolverine can also hold down experimental and unconventional teams pretty well. He is great in almost any context and his reliable damage and sustainability go a long way to being able to fill the other two spots on his team with any and all mix-ups a player could imagine.
