NEW DELHI: Micromax has started rolling out Android 11 update for its Micromax In 1b smartphone. The smartphone was launched last year in November with Android 10 operating system out-of-the-box. The company has revealed that it is a staged roll out and will be made available for all the users in the coming days. The company also mentioned that it is an OTA update and users will receive notification, however, they can also manually check for the update by going to settings.
The company announced the update via a tweet. The company tweeted, “Here’s an amazing news for you guys. #Android11 OS update is now available for #MicromaxIN1b. 🥳🎉 Now, you can enjoy the No Ads & No Bloatware experience with Android 11 on your IN 1b smartphone. The update weighs 1.69GB in size and the company recommends the users to atleast have 60% battery before downloading the update. With Android 11 update, Micromax In 1b users will be able to experience features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
“Android 11 OS also offers more granular controls that allows users to grant one-time permissions for location, camera, and microphone access. This is a major upgrade from the “while in use” permission because users can now test new apps and features without privacy concerns”, said the company.
Along with the OS update, the smartphone is also getting the latest Android security patch.
Recently, it was reported that Micromax is all set to launch its new smartphone in India. The company is reportedly working on the Micromax In Note 1 Pro smartphone. The smartphone is expected to be an updated version of the Micromax In Note 1, which the company launched in India last year.
