DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

10/10 Thane Krios

Thane Krios gives off a mysterious aura about him. Because of this, it makes you want to find out more about him. It’s not an easy task though as with him being an assassin and all, he likes to remain quiet for the majority of the time. However, once you get him to open up, the more you begin to understand him.

Thane inside combat can prove to do some damage as his abilities can really mess enemies up. This Drell has a lot to bring to the table and won’t make you regret getting to know him.

9/10 Mordin Solus

Mass Effect Mordin Solus

Have you ever met someone who loves to talk? Like once they start talking it feels like they’ll never stop? That describes Mordin Solus perfectly. This Salarian has his quirks which can make him a really enjoyable character to me around. While his manner of speaking might annoy you at first, it can really grow on you after a while, hopefully.

Mordin is perfect in battle as he provides support using his tech, and he’s not afraid of getting his hands dirty. This Salarian can do it all using his brain and superior intelligence. He’ll definitely spice up the Normandy.

8/10 Kasumi Goto

Mass Effect Kasumi Goto

Even though she’s a DLC character, Kasumi Goto feels like she was an original addition to the cast at the very start. She genuinely feels like someone you wouldn’t mind spending time with. Like Thane, she’s also an assassin, however, she’s more open about her thoughts and feelings than him.

Kasumi is a master thief that’s not afraid to let her guard down around those that she trusts. She’s funny, witty, and at times you can find her having friendly banter with you or your squadmates. Her combat abilities don’t compare to anyone else as she excels in one on one combat. For an assassin, Kasumi is pretty sociable and a delight to be around.

7/10 Urdnot Wrex

Mass Effect 1 Urdnot Wrex

If you want to talk about how important loyalty is, take an example from Urdnot Wrex. Wrex is by far one of Shepard’s most reliable and loyal crewmates on the Normandy. For him, it’s all about respect, and noticing Shepard’s intelligence and combat skills is what makes him earn it.

What makes Wrex’s story sad is his struggle and fight to combat the Genophage blight which is killing off his people. You want to help him as much as you can, which makes decisions in the story hard. Wrex will always be there for you, but the question is will you be there for him?

6/10 Joker

Mass Effect Joker

He’s not someone that you can bring with you on missions, but this list would be incomplete without having Joker on the list. While being a pilot on the Normandy, Joker doesn’t hesitate to call out situations as he sees them. He’s loyal to a fault and wants the best for everybody. He’s also very comedic no matter how dire the situation may be.

His relationship with the ship’s AI EDI is also very cute and can be a stress reliever at times. Seeing the two of them go back and forth with each other like an old married couple is wholesome to see.

5/10 Miranda Lawson

Mass Effect Miranda Lawson

Miranda Lawson is someone that’s interesting in her own unique way. She has her own personal struggles that she deals with and while she does and is able to go through some of it on her own, she does, however, rely on Shepard for help when she needs it.

She’s extremely useful in battle as her biotic powers can really bail you out of situations. Miranda is someone that’s not only passionate about her family but the mission as well. You can always count on her if you need to get something done.

4/10 Garrus Vakarian

Mass Effect 1 Garrus Vakarian

If you had to pick a crewmate that would be the definition of a “bro” then it would have to be Garrus Vakarian. Garrus is a fantastic sniper in combat and can pick off enemies with ease. He’s also a vigilante that’s all about serving justice by any means necessary.

His relationship with Shepard is one that you would hope to have in reality, minus the whole killing people thing of course. They understand each other perfectly and look at each other with the utmost respect. He’s been there since the very beginning and will see the end with you as well. Couldn’t ask for a better friend, or perhaps even lover.

3/10 Tali’Zorah Vas Normandy

Mass Effect 1 Tali'Zorah nar Rayya

Tali’Zorah Vas Normandy grows on you throughout the entirety of the series. She’s a naive Quarian, however, she excels in technology and engineering. At times, she gives off a quirky and ditzy vibe at times, but that’s all a part of the Vas Normandy charm. It grows on you after a while.

On and off the battlefield she’s a perfect person to be around and will do her best to try and cheer you up whenever your down. She has a big heart, and you can see that more if you decide to romance her in your playthrough.

2/10 Jack

Mass Effect Jack

Not only is she only of the bests crew members to take into battle, but getting to know Jack personally will only make you love her as a character even more. Yeah, sure she may be vulgar and rude when you first meet her, but stick it out for as long as you can. It’s worth it.

Her backstory isn’t pretty nor does it have a happy ending, but it’ll make you understand why she acts the way that she does. Once you get Jack to open up, she stays open, and it’s one of the best things that could happen to her. You can really learn a lot from her.

1/10 Liara T’Soni

Mass Effect Liara T’Soni

One of the most lovable characters in the series has to be Liara T’Soni. Being a prodigy in her field, Liara is not only confident in her intelligence, but in her biotic powers as well. She has been nothing but an ally to Sheperd since the very beginning. Her mannerisms are always adorable giving off a wholesome and sweet vibe.

While she does take a break from saving the galaxy to be the Shadow Broker, she eventually returns by your side to see everything to the very end. Liara wants the best for you and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, and she means anything.
