Marvel’s Midnight Suns Deadpool DLC Launches January 26

Featuring new story missions and the infamous antihero, Deadpool.

Firaxis Games and 2K have announced that the first DLC coming to Marvel’s Midnight Suns, titled The Good, The Bad, and The Undead, will be released on January 26. It adds the infamous antihero Deadpool, new story missions, enemies, an upgrade for Abbey, and a bunch of cosmetics for the newest recruitable character.

Players who already have the Season Pass or the Legendary Edition won’t have to pay for the upcoming DLC, as it will be free to download at launch. However, other players will purchase it individually to get their hands on one of Marvel’s fan-favorite characters armed with ten different skills.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

As for the new playable character, Deadpool is a damage-dealing-focused maniac who specializes in sword attacks and gunshots. Although the trailer dedicated to the DLC provides nothing more than a few scenes of Deadpool slashing and shooting foes, eagle-eyed viewers noticed his abilities’ names were shown for only one second. Deadpool’s heroic skill, Pain Piñata, deals damage to each enemy in an area and gains a +1 bleed effect. It will seemingly cost 2 heroism.

Deadpool can perform a Mag Dump ability, which could be related to his dual-wielding weapons according to the ability’s image. In addition, Deadpool’s set of abilities features All Together Now, but information on this ability is scarce for the moment.

The antihero also brings a new update for Abbey with his unique project Food Truck, which will give Deadpool an extra tactical edge against enemies. Players can experience new story missions that revolve around vampires after completing the mission titled Spidermaaaans. Deadpool will be recruitable after completing the mission A Man of Culture.

“Deadpool joins the team as an in-your face damage dealer wielding 10 unique Hero abilities. Plus, enjoy new story missions, a tasty new Abbey Upgrade, and some stylish cosmetics for everyone’s favorite Merc!” developer Firaxis provided a breakdown of the upcoming expansion.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns has grown in popularity as one of the most beloved turn-based strategy games of 2022. The game is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
