Lycoris Recoil Episode 7 Release Date, Time & Preview

Lycoris Recoil episode 7 managed to get into way more serious territory than usual, showing Chisato in danger for the first time ever, as Majima aka not-Kirito managed to find one of her weaknesses: blinding her. The series is definitely taking a more serious turn now that we’re past the halfway point, though even by the end of episode 7 itself, we’ve got some more light moments back, with Takina figuring out how to beat Chisato at Rock Paper Scissors.

As a reminder, Lycoris Recoil is an original anime based on ideas from Asaura, the LN author known for Ben-To. The series will only be 12 episodes / one cour, unless more gets announced later on, so we’re slowly reaching the series’ conclusion.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Lycoris Recoil episode 7 will air in Japan on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at 11:30 PM JST (10:30 AM ET). As usual, be wary of spoilers on social media especially if you’re a Japanese speaker, as the series is so popular hashtags related to it will trend. Last week, “boys’ version of Lycoris” was most notably trending when Chisato revealed that male orphans also get recruited into DA.

In the US and most territories outside Japan, Crunchyroll is the sole way to watch the series legally, but the show’s release time will vary depending on your time zone. Here’s the exact release time for the sixth episode in several regions:

  • Pacific Timing: 1 PM PT
  • Central Timing: 3 PM CT
  • Eastern Timing: 4 PM ET
  • British Timing: 9 PM BST
  • Indian Timing: 1:30 AM IST

Don’t forget to watch the next episode preview as well. Probably in order to save a few seconds of footage for the episode itself, previews in Lycoris Recoil aren’t shown at the end of each episode but are instead uploaded to the net a few days before the episode airs, on social media.

Lycoris Recoil is using this to its advantage by having much longer than usual episode previews, with skits featuring the characters. This time for episode 7, we have Majima (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) and Robota continuing their antics from episode 6. In the preview, Majima is heard asking Robota for more info on Chisato and actually apologizing for interrupting him while recording the preview. Watch the preview for episode 7 below.
