Leaving behind all the masterpieces we got this year, Kaguya-Sama: Love is War has officially become the best anime of 2022. But, as all good things must come to an end, the third season of this rom-com and psychological anime has wrapped up.

However, it seems as though the creators of the show don’t want their fans to wait long for the announcement of another project they are working on. That’s why they recently announced the upcoming Kaguya-Sama: Love is War anime movie.

Fans were waiting for an announcement regarding the show’s renewal with a fourth season. But it seems like the creators were deciding to surprise us with something else. Now that the news is official, here’s everything we know about the upcoming anime movie so far.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Right after the finale episode of Season 3 of the series got released, a visual was shared by the official Twitter account of the show. It said, “Kaguya wants to tell you,” “New anime production decision.” Nothing else was clear at that time. But now, just a few days after that announcement, we have confirmed news regarding the anime movie adaptation.

Several official Twitter accounts, including Shonenloeaks, Today Anime News, and Manga Mogura RE, have confirmed the news. The upcoming Kaguya-Sama: Love is War movie is going to be a direct sequel to Season 3, so it will take place at Christmas. Currently, there’s no news regarding the staff, cast, or even the studio that will animate the movie. But we can expect to hear more details relatively soon.

Kaguya-Sama had an event at the Anime Expo on July 1st, 2022. So it’s quite bizarre that the creators didn’t share the news at the time of the event, but instead opted to wait until a few days later. Still, it doesn’t matter much to the fans. What matters is that a great movie is in production, and we want it to release as soon as possible.
