Lost Ark Publisher Confirms Unjust Player Ban, Seeks To Make Things Right

Players can also continue to appeal in order to reverse the process faster.

The team behind Lost Ark has released a new statement to address the ban wave many players have received recently, and acknowledged that an error caused innocent players to be indistinguishable from scamming bots. Impacted users are advised to either wait or submit an appeal ticket to hasten the process of getting their account unbanned.

Originally, many players thought the reason for their unjust banning was due to their prolonged periods of inactivity, but it turned out – as we hypothesized in our earlier coverage – that it was indeed related to Lost Ark’s new bot-banning initiative that started earlier this month. Players who don’t want to wait first have to make an Amazon account, then follow the following steps to appeal a ban:

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY
  1. First, go to the “Support Center” and choose “Lost Ark” from the game list
  2. Select “Account”, then “Appeal a ban”
  3. Click on “Web Ticket”, which will ask you to log in to your Amazon account. You can log into your Amazon account even if your Lost Ark account is banned.
  4. Input your character and server name (Screenshots and logs field are optional)
  5. Write your Lost Ark ban appeal in the “Description” area, which contains a maximum of 1,024 characters. Users are advised to include all relevant information in a precise and concise manner as the support forums suggest

Western Lost Ark fans are anticipating the introduction of a new advanced class this April, the Artist, which is the first of many Specialists class characters to come in 2023 as per the teasing of the official announcement. Another character that is anticipated to join this class is the Weathelist, which is already available for Japanese and Korean versions of the game. The Weathelist uses mythical powers to control the weather and consume rain drops to increase attacks and cast debuffs.

In addition to the Artist, Lost Ark has also prepared an extensive roadmap for 2023. There will be a new continent, raid, as well as a 96-player PvP mode. We also shouldn’t forget the Witcher crossover event which is starting very soon, on January 18, and will continue until February 22. The event will include an all-new event island and will have the players work with Geralt, Ciri, and other iconic characters through a series of Witcher themed story quests.
