Lies of P director Ji Won Choi addresses fans in new video teasing what’s to come to the Pinnochio souls-like. DLC is in the works and a sequel is also planned.
Neowiz and Round8 Studio addressed the masses in a new video for Lies of P. In a Director’s Letter the video went over what’s next for the Action-RPG. Confirmed in the video are plans for an upcoming DLC and even more great news that a sequel is also coming.
Celebrating the big 1 million milestone not too long ago, director Ji Won Choi thanked fans, while appearing in a mask from the Black Rabbit Brotherhood. He didn’t do the whole video while wearing the mask because man that thing looks hot to wear, but eventually greeted all face to face. But the milestone isn’t the only good news for the studio. They are working their way to releasing a DLC for Lies of P and they’ve mentioned a sequel is also in the works.
Another patch will be dropping this November that will focus on weapon balance. Some weapons will be getting some tweaks specifically for the weapons assemble system that lets players mix and match Blades and Handles for the ultimate customisation.
One major change will be allowing players to unlock the Rising Dodge ability as a default skill from the beginning. This means players won’t need to spend more precious Quartz for the P-Organ to unlock this skill. This is a welcomed change as this means saving your precious resources for other skills that could be useful in your Build. If you’ve been hoping for some extra Quartz, Polendina will also be selling an extra 2 Quartz in his shop.
As a gift to players who are fans of Alidoro, they will be gaining an Alidoro costume which was much requested. Players won’t have to choose when it comes to face accessories as you will have an extra slot to add further accessories in the next patch. Players will spoilt for choice as new Costumes are coming to the game.
Lies of P crossover with Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is still underway, but the developer is keen to offer something of high quality. The devs are fans of Wo Long and want to meet the expectations of fans just the same. So it looks like we’ll have to wait for more news on when we’ll see some of Team Ninja’s influence in LOP.
The video goes on to show a quick peek at the new DLC coming to Lies of P. Unfortunately, Choi couldn’t show us any gameplay but did give fans a taste through the concept artwork of the DLC. We see P on a ship which could mean we’re going to sea. Then there’s the eerie-looking lab experiment setting. Choi does say this is just the “tip of the iceberg” and is it me or does that ship look a little frosty? Either way more good things are coming to the game and I’m hyped about that. Even if I don’t forgive them for the aggravating Mad Clown Puppet.
It’s great when developers take the time to do videos such as these as it gives players plenty to look forward to.
