Arrive At Erupting Hill

To trigger the side quest Let’s Stop the Earthquake!, you will first need to arrive at the correct location. If you have not yet made your way to the Erupting Hill Landmark, this is when you will need to do so. You’ll find it in the Kark Isles region, in the middle between Blue Life Spring and the Big Lighthouse.

Upon your arrival, a cutscene will begin immediately after you unlock the Erupting Hill Landmark. This will introduce the dragon that is attacking the volcano and causing an earthquake to tremble the nearby area. In order to prevent the volcano from erupting, you and your team will decide to fight the dragon to stop him from causing more damage.

Defeat The Dragon

Though this might seem like an easy enough quest, there are a few strategies you will want to prepare for your team before you battle the dragon. It is not to be underestimated, and will easily take out your team if you aren’t properly prepared.

The first thing we suggest is to stock up on Core Items. The dragon’s defense in this battle is very high, so using an item that can break through its defense will be crucial. Otherwise, your normal attacks won’t do much damage. Try using an Ice Bomb, regular Bomb, or Craft to deal extra damage to the dragon, and overtime you’ll eventually break its defense. You can also include the Lowered Guard Effect to your Bombs to drop its defense further.

Along with this, make sure each character has a Core Item to restore their health. You can use Grass Beans or Dry Biscuits to do so, especially characters that have lower HP like Tao. You can also add a Trio Craft to one of your characters if you can make one.

As for weapons, make sure each character has upgraded their weapon to increase attack damage, especially for Klaudia, Lent, and Bos. If you plan on making a new weapon, try to add the Raptor Slayer Trait to it, as this will help you to take down the dragon faster. Any additional equipment can be used to protect your characters if you find that their defense is lacking.

Once you’ve prepared all of your characters, it’s time to head into battle. When fighting the dragon, keep in mind that it is vulnerable to Klaudia’s ‘S’ Skill, as well as Ryza’s Left Mouse Button Skill. These two characters will work the best together against the dragon, so swap between them often to deal the most damage. When you’ve defeated the dragon, you’ll receive a reward of 300 SP, and you can visit the small area above where the dragon was located to pick up some ores and open a treasure chest.
