LEGO Fortnite players bash poor inventory management system

Now that the dust is settling and players are getting a feel for LEGO Fortnite, many of them are on Reddit as they bash the poor inventory management system and request improvements.

With a new Fortnite mode will come complications, but it seems like there are plenty of quality-of-life issues that shouldn’t even be there in the first place.

Players are frustrated on Reddit about LEGO Fortnite and the poor inventory management system

One post on the LEGO Fortnite subreddit has nearly 200 upvotes and explains how Epic Games didn’t optimize the inventory system very well. Despite us being in the year 2023, this user stated that automatic item stacking and sorting should be in this game mode.

You should also be able to throw certain items in the trash that you don’t want. Items like the 5% Pickaxes that Skeletons drop are essentially stuck with you, there’s no ‘discard’ option in the inventory. They end the post saying how other quality-of-life issues are everywhere in LEGO Fortnite.

While there are some players agreeing with this user, the post is annoying other users at the uproar of negativity. Sure, LEGO Fortnite is quite new and is only in version 1.0, so perhaps Epic Games will fix these issues by the next Season.

Some replies are just saying to drop the items off somewhere, but they take awhile to de-spawn. The amount of unwanted clutter you can receive in LEGO Fortnite seems to be pretty large. The more people speak up, the more Epic Games will hopefully listen and implement player feedback into future updates.

It’s hard to say whether a free game should get a pass or not for a plethora of quality-of-life issues. You’re right to feel frustrated, but I also think you’re right to feel optimistic about future updates instead.
