For a long time, Ubisoft had given PC players only a few avenues through which to buy many of its games. Specifically, if players did not want to experience these games on console, then they would have to get them either through the Epic Games Store or through Ubisoft Connect. Recently, however, Ubisoft has begun carrying over its PC games to Steam, starting with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla earlier this month. And now, thanks to the sudden appearance of a Steam page for Watch Dogs: Legion, we know the same will happen for Ubisoft’s most recent open-world hacking game.
The Steam version of Watch Dogs: Legion will come in three editions. The Standard Edition solely contains the base game, whereas the Gold Edition features the Season Pass on top of that. Lastly, the Ultimate Edition comes with all of this in addition to the Ultimate Pack, which boasts three more characters, currency boosts, and other bonuses. Although the Ubisoft Store lists prices for these editions, it remains unclear if they will carry over to the Steam version.
What is Watch Dogs: Legion about?
Watch Dogs: Legion sees players attempting to save “a near-future London” from ruin by setting up a resistance. Players can recruit and control a wide variety of London residents, each with their own backstory, skills, and personality. Being an open-world game, Watch Dogs: Legion lets players thoroughly explore London and take in its many landmarks and side activities. To progress in the story, players will “hack armed drones, deploy spider-bots, and take down enemies using an Augmented Reality Cloak.”
PC users can expect to purchase Watch Dogs: Legion on Steam starting from January 26, 2023. Before diving in, though, keep in mind that the game’s reception from both fans and critics has turned out mostly mixed. Additionally, Ubisoft has and continues to face allegations of workplace harassment and other abuses.
