The fate of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake continues to be shrouded in mystery, as the Embracer Group, the parent company of developer Aspyr Media, refuses once again to comment on the game.

As reported today by Axios’ Stephen Totilo, Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors was once again asked how he feels about the game during today’s earnings presentation. “I notice that anything I say to this becomes a headline,” he said, “so that is my only comment.

The silence surrounding the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake has truly been deafening. Following the game’s announcement, we haven’t heard anything about the game other than rumors saying the remake was delayed indefinitely, as development was paused back in 2022 following an internal demo presentation. Before, we heard that the game was supposed to be a full-on action role-playing game inspired by God of War and Nioh, but at this point, it seems more and more likely that the project will never see the light of day, especially considering how the official reveal trailer disappeared from YouTube a couple of months back.

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is supposedly still in development for PC and PlayStation 5. We will let you know more about the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
