King Arthur Knight’s Tale is now out on PS5 & Xbox Series X

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is finally out on consoles. This game is a mix of turn-based strategy and role-playing, offering a new perspective on the well-known Arthurian legends as it explores a darker, more complex version of the classic myth.

The game has built a strong fan base and received high praise from critics since it’s original launch in 2022, and has received multiple patches that improve content and performance.

King Arthur Knight’s Tale Enhanced Features for Console Players

The move to consoles brings several new features designed to enhance player experience. Gamers can choose between Quality Mode, which provides stunning 4K graphics, and Performance Mode, which ensures smoother gameplay. PlayStation 5 players will enjoy an immersive experience thanks to the haptic feedback from the DualSense controller. Additionally, the game includes a variety of Xbox Achievements and PlayStation Trophies for players to earn.

The game also introduces a local PvP mode, allowing friends to compete against each other directly from their living rooms.

New Console Features:

  • Graphical: Quality or Performance Mode
  • Local Multiplayer: PvP Battles with friends
  • Haptic Feedback: PS5 controller dualsense feature
  • Achievements & Trophies: Add to your collection with new challenges.

Why This Game Stands Out

Our review at Fextralife highlights the strengths of “King Arthur: Knight’s Tale.” The game impresses with its strategic depth and engaging story, set in a richly detailed and morally ambiguous world. It offers a unique blend of action and storytelling that appeals to both fans of Arthurian legends and RPG enthusiasts.

Set in a dark fantasy world based on the Arthurian myth (and our previous King Arthur strategy games), this Tactical / RPG hybrid begins right after the famous battle of Camlann, with a twist:

You are Sir Mordred, the nemesis of King Arthur, the former black knight of the grim tales. You killed King Arthur, but with his dying breath, he struck you down. You both died – and yet, you both live.

The Lady of the Lake, the ruler of the mystical island of Avalon brought you back to end a true nightmare. She wants you to go on a knightly quest. She wants you to finish what you have begun. Kill King Arthur – or whatever he has become after she took his dying vessel to Avalon.

We are happy to host the official King Arthur: Knight’s Tale Wiki, and we have also made a lot of KAKT guides to help players out. Be sure to check out our King Arthur: Knight’s Tale Beginner Guide 2022 to familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics. We also have a King Arthur: Knight’s Tale Class Guide – Defender, Arcanist, Champion, Marksman, and Vanguard!

A new expansion for the game, called Legion IX is also in the works, so you can expect more content soon!

“King Arthur: Knight’s Tale” is now available on consoles, bringing a legendary story to a new audience. With its intriguing blend of strategy and narrative, it’s a game that shouldn’t be missed by anyone looking for a deep and rewarding gaming experience.
