A leaked image of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has revealed a Battle Pass, which is reportedly just for cosmetic items.

An image from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League recently appeared on 4chan, showcasing the game’s menu screen with some information about its live service elements that have yet to be confirmed officially by Rocksteady Games.

As verified by VGC‘s sources, the leak reveals a Battle Pass as well as the ability to select your character, customize your appearance, and choose your own loadout. You can also spot a variety of in-game currencies at the top, with the ability to choose your desired chapter, and either play it on your own or matchmake with others to experience the co-op mode.

According to the information that a development source has shared with VGC, the currencies are actually different types of XP that players can use to upgrade their characters or unlock new skill tree elements. On the other hand, the Battle Pass is said to only feature cosmetic items, including skins for the Suicide Squad members.

“You don’t start off debuffed and weak,” the anonymous source told VGC. “You just start off great and can get ridiculous, like Arkham Knight’s Batman.” It remains unknown how well the game would be able to expand the ideas and features we already experienced in Batman: Arkham Knight, the latest title by Rocksteady.

Unfortunately, the source didn’t share anything about the different game modes – as you can spot a Game Mode button on the left side of the screen – or the scale and depth of customizations and loadout in the game. Although Rocksteady had already revealed that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would be a co-op experience, no details were shared about the live service elements. Gotham Knights is also a co-op-focused experience but didn’t feature a Battle Pass at launch.

Targeting a release in May 2023, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is yet to receive full gameplay details. The most recent trailer from Suicide Squad confirmed that Kevin Conroy will reprise his role of Batman for one last time following his death back in November 2022.
