Jeff Goldblum says he won’t financially support his kids when they’re older

Jeff Goldblum has revealed that he doesn’t plan on financially supporting his children when they get older.

Appearing on a recent episode of the Table For Two With Bruce Bozzi podcast, the Independence star shared details about his family. He and his wife, Emilie Livingston share two sons, aged eight and six.

Goldblum, who starred in Steven Spielberg‘s global hit film franchise Jurassic Park, revealed that he would like for his children to be financially independent when they grow up.

“Hey, you know, you’ve got to row your own boat,” the actor said.

“It’s an important thing to teach kids. I’m not going to do it for you. And you’re not going to want me to do it for you,” he continued.

He added that he wanted to allow his children to discover their “passion” in life: “You’ve got to figure out how to find out what’s wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do. And even if it doesn’t, you might have to do that anyway.”

In other news, Goldblum is set to play Zeus in an upcoming dark-comedy series for Netflix called Kaos, created by The End Of The Fucking World’s Charlie Covell.

Playing the queen of the gods and Zeus’ wife, Hera, will be Janet McTeer, with David Thewlis taking on Hades, the king of the underworld.

Goldblum will also be hitting the silver screen later this year, as he will play the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the upcoming musical movie, Wicked.

Adapted from the stage musical of the same name telling the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West, the two-part film stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jonathan Bailey.

Wicked is scheduled for release in November this year, and its second part is set for a December 2025 release.
