Known as the Dandelion Knight, Jean is the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonious in Genshin Impact. Jean is almost always busy working to protect Mondstadt, and her younger sister Barbara aspires to become just like her one day.
As a 5-Star Anemo character, Jean can easily fit into the shoes of a Support team member. She can buff everyone’s damage through Swirl Reactions, and provide healing to keep the team alive on the field.
Jean’s Best Build & Artifact Sets
When building Jean as a Support character, you’ll want to focus on increasing her Swirl damage as much as possible. This will allow her to buff her teammates’ Elemental DMG significantly, and give the most support to her team as possible. We have picked out the best artifact set for her to enhance her role.
4-Set Of Viridescent Venerer
A 2-Set of Viridescent Venerer will give Jean an Anemo DMG Bonus of 15 percent. Its 4-Set will increase her Swirl DMG by 60 percent. It will also decrease the opponent’s Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40 percent for 10 seconds. This artifact set is the most ideal for Jean as it will increase the damage from her Swirl Reactions, which in turn will support the rest of the team greatly. It will also add on the bonus of depleting the opponent’s Elemental Resistance to increase the team’s overall damage even further. When picking out the main stats and substats for each piece, here’s what you should choose.
Artifact |
Main Stat |
Substats |
Sands of Eon |
ATK% |
ATK%, Energy Recharge, CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate |
Goblet of Eonothem |
Anemo DMG Bonus |
ATK%, Energy Recharge, CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate |
Circlet of Logos |
Healing Bonus, CRIT DMG, or CRIT Rate |
ATK%, Energy Recharge, CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate |
Building on Jean’s ATK stat is incredibly important, as this is where all of her healing will come from. She can heal her team through her Normal Attack and Elemental Burst, which scales on ATK. Energy Recharge will also be important to keep her Elemental Burst readily available, and CRIT stats will increase the damage from her Swirl Reactions.
Jean’s Best 5-Star & 4-Star Weapons
There are many weapon options for Jean depending on what kind of support character you want her to be. If you want to focus on healing, then ATK will be your best bet, but if you’d rather add more to her Swirl Damage, then choosing CRIT Stats, Energy Recharge, or Elemental Mastery will be the preferable choice. Here are some of the best weapons available for her.
5-Star Weapons: Skyward Blade & Freedom-Sworn

Skyward Blade will give Jean a base increase of 12 percent to her Energy Recharge. Its Bonus Skill will increase her CRIT Rate by 4 percent. She will also gain Skypiercing Might after using her Elemental Burst, which will increase Movement SPD by 10 percent, increase ATK SPD by 10 percent, and increase the DMG of Normal and Charged Attack hits by 20 percent for 12 seconds. Skyward Blade is a great choice for Jean to enhance her Elemental Burst, which is the most important attack for her. It will also give her a decent buff to her Normal Attack, which you can use to heal your teammates as well.
Freedom-Sworn will give Jean a base increase of 43 to her Elemental Mastery. Its Bonus Skill will increase her DMG by 10 percent. When Jean triggers an Elemental Reaction, she will gain a Sigil of Rebellion once every 0.5 seconds. This triggers even if she is not on the field. When you reach 2 Sigils, they will be consumed which grants nearby party members 20 percent ATK and 16 percent Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG for 12 seconds. Once triggered, Jean will not gain any Sigils for 20 seconds. Freedom-Sworn will not only buff Jean’s own damage with Elemental Mastery, but she will be able to give the rest of her team additional support through increasing their ATK damage.
4-Star Weapons: Festering Desire & Amenoma Kageuchi

Festering Desire will give Jean a base increase of 10 percent to her Energy Recharge. Its Bonus Skill will increase her Elemental Skill DMG by 16 percent and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6 percent. Since Jean’s Elemental Skill is her next best from her Elemental Burst, increasing its damage will greatly support her team as she will be able to create high Swirl damage.
Amenoma Kageuchi will give Jean a base increase of 12 percent to her ATK. Its Bonus Skill will allow Jean to gain 1 Succession Seed after casting her Elemental Skill. This effect can be triggered once every 5 seconds, and the seed will last for 30 seconds. Up to 3 Succession Seeds can exist simultaneously. After she uses her Elemental Burst, all Succession Seeds will be consumed and after 2 seconds, Jean will regenerate 6 Energy for each seed consumed. Amenoma Kageuchi is a fantastic Free-to-Play weapon that can be crafted for Jean. Not only will she receive a nice healing boost with the buff to ATK, but she will also be able to regenerate her Energy through its Bonus Skill.
