Is There a Split Screen in Modern Warfare 3?

The advancements in technology and gameplay experience in the Call of Duty franchise have caused a revolution over the last decade or so. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the latest first-person shooter game, comes with a massive fan base that is curious about the availability of a split-screen mode.

Split-screen gameplay allows multiple players to participate in a game simultaneously on a single display. The ability to engage in split-screen mode enables players to share the excitement of the game in a more personal and cooperative manner.
Talking about the beta version of Modern Warfare 3, it does not come with the split-screen feature. The previous volumes, including the MW 2019 and MW2, did not feature a split screen, either. Considering that, it could be said that the campaign of MW3 will not come with this option.

The multiplayer mode in MW3 is a different thing. Just like the previous volume, you are most likely to get the split-screen option in the online mode. Modern Warfare 2 featured two types of split-screen settings, Local and Online Multiplayer. We expect that MW3 will also come with the same options. The Local Multiplayer allows you to have matches with your friends, while the online multiplayer requires you to connect with PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass.

To start a split-screen game, launch Modern Warfare 3 and go to the ‘Multiplayer’ section. In the settings, create a local server and sign in from a different account with the second controller. Once both players are connected, set up the local game and choose your desired map. Select start, and you’re all good to go. With that, you will be able to enjoy the action-filled gameplay of Modern Warfare 3 with your family or friends.
