Wondering if you can add Cult of the Lamb to your physical collection of games? Here’s everything we know about physical editions of Cult of the Lamb

Devolver Digital and Massive Monster’s scarily cute rogue-like adventure, Cult of the Lamb, is finally out in the wild and is readily available on all platforms. While the game is currently available digitally, there’ll be many of you out there that feel this title would be a fine addition to your physical collection of games. Well, here’s everything you need to know if Cult of the Lamb will have a physical release.

Is Cult of The Lamb Getting A Physical Release?

There’s good news and bad news. The good news is that Cult of the Lamb will have a physical release. The bad news is that you shouldn’t expect either Devolver or Massive Monster to have too much involvement in the physical release, as it is being handled by Special Reserve Games instead.

SRG has been around for a while now and is dedicated to producing physical copies of well-loved indie gems. The company has previously released physical copies of Hotline Miami and Carrion. Various editions of Cult of the Lamb can be purchased at SRG.

The single edition of Cult of the Lamb will come with either a disk or cartridge, an instruction booklet, and reversible cover art. All expansions and DLC will be included with the game at the time of release. If you purchase a special reserved copy, you’ll also get the soundtrack and game packaging signed by the developers.

SRG is also offering True Believer editions of Cult of the Lamb, which come with a plushie and signed hardcover art book, there are only 150 available.

There’s a bit of a drawback, though. Physical editions of Cult of the Lamb are currently only being advertised for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. A quick look at SRG’s ‘About’ section shows that the company is predominantly focused on producing physical copies for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s likely that Xbox owners will miss out on physical copies of Cult of the Lamb.

When Will The Physical Edition of Cult of the Lamb be Released?

Now, on to the bad news. While SRG will be accepting pre-orders for Cult of the Lamb later today, they note that the game won’t actually ship until Q2 2023. That’s a bit of a wait for anyone hoping to pick up a physical copy of the game.

That’s everything we know about physical editions of Cult of the Lamb. We at Twinfinite thoroughly enjoyed our time with the game, and you can check out our review here as well as our beginner tips.
