Cocoon, the first game from Geometric Interactive which is Jeppe Carlsen’s, the lead gameplay designer of Limbo and Inside, new studio is an exciting indie puzzle game that I can’t wait to get out hands on. If you’re as excited as I am, you’re probably wondering what platforms Cocoon is available on and if it’s on Xbox Game Pass. For answers to those questions, this is the guide for you.
Cocoon is available on Game Pass and is, in fact, a day-one release. Cocoon releases September 29, 2023, and right when it drops, it’ll be playable on Xbox and PC Game Pass.
Whether you’re on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, if you are subscribed to Game Pass, you can play Cocoon for free. Of course, you can also purchase the game for around $19.99 to $24.99 too, but Game Pass is too good a subscription to pass up, especially in a month with Party Animals and Payday 3.
If you aren’t on Xbox or aren’t subscribed to Game Pass, Cocoon is also available on many other platforms.
I’m happy to share that Cocoon is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Basically, whatever platform you use to enjoy video games, you can find Cocoon there.
I’m surprised and happy to see Cocoon come to last-gen consoles. While it’s starting to feel like that time when everybody needs to buy the next-gen console to stay up to date with all the new releases, those who still enjoy their old consoles can still play a good-looking new game such as Cocoon.
What platform are you gonna play Cocoon on? Personally, I don’t currently have Game Pass but that would likely be my first place to play Cocoon since Game Pass comes with so many other great games that have just come out. Instead, I’m gonna try Cocoon on Steam because I have a Steam Deck and I want to see if it plays well on that. Cocoon feels like the perfect Steam Deck game.
