Is Balatro on mobile? Answered

Balatro is a fantastic poker roguelike game that would be perfect on mobile. So, let’s answer the question — is Balatro on mobile?

Is Balatro available on iPhone and Android?

Currently, Balatro is not available on mobile. This means you can’t play Balatro on your mobile devices such as an iPhone, Android, or tablet.

I’m not someone who typically enjoys playing games on mobile, but Balatro just screams mobile. It’s lightweight in terms of memory, the information on the screen is never too crowded for a smaller screen, and it’s the perfect pick-up, put-down game. So, are there plans to put Balatro on mobile?

In the official Balatro Discord, LocalThunk, the solo developer of the game, has confirmed that they are working on putting Balatro on mobile. Since Balatro is now fully released on all platforms, which includes PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, LocalThunk will start making progress toward putting Balatro on mobile.

We don’t have a date or estimated time as to when we can expect Balatro on mobile, but stay tuned. I can’t wait to play Balatro and am enjoying on the best platform for it right now.

If you’re wondering what I think the best platform to play Balatro on is right now, I’d say Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch. Since Balatro is a pick-up, put-down game, the Steam Deck or Switch is the way to go. My Steam Deck is always in a different part of the house right now because I’m constantly picking up and playing a few rounds of Balatro when I have the time.

When it becomes available, I think Balatro on a tablet would be amazing. It on phones would also be incredible, especially given how you take them everywhere and can always get a few rounds in. If you’re looking to jump into Balatro, the first thing you need to grasp are the Poker Hands and how many Chips and Mults they give.
