Decades after his last gaming adventure, Indiana Jones is back in a brand new adventure from the team behind Wolfenstein: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. The game takes places on a vast adventure to discover a whole set of mysteries, uncover secrets, and kill Nazis.

Indiana Jones And The Great Circle will be released in 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and available at launch on Game Pass.
The game is one of the premiere Xbox exclusives of the year, and although a date wasn’t revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2024, speculation has ensued suggesting that the game could release in November or December to capitalise on the Christmas and New Year break and/or Black Friday.
‘Indiana Jones And The Great Circle’ story set-up
Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, Indy will travel from the halls of Marshall College to the heart of the Vatican, the pyramids of Egypt, the sunken temples of Sukhothai, the Himalayas, and beyond on a globe-spanning adventure.
A break-in in the dead of night at Marshall College ends in a confrontation with a mysterious man, and it becomes Indy’s job to find out who is behind the theft of a seemingly unimportant artifact.
Joining Indy is Gina Lombardi, an investigative journalist who has teamed up with the archaeologist to unravel the mystery at the heart of the adventure. At the Xbox Games Showcase in 2024, we got a deep look at one of the game’s cutscenes with both Indy and Gina, as well as the game’s main antagonist, Emmerich.
‘Indiana Jones And The Great Circle’ gameplay
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is a first-person action-adventure, mixing MachineGames‘ history with gunplay, with a more up-close-and-personal action game as Indiana can use his whip and punch a Nazi or two.
The game appears to mesh the three core pillars of similar action-adventures: puzzle solving, exploration, and combat. In the first trailer for the game, we got to see Indy use his whip to climb buildings, investigate tombs and caves, as well as solve puzzles (while avoiding traps and death).
Overall, the whole game is shaping up pretty nicely, and MachineGames is a talented team with a decade of experience crafting an action-adventure experience like The Great Circle.
