IDW & Paramount renew Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license for the 40th Anniversary of TMNT, and Kevin Eastman is off on tour.
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the creation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird back in 1984. any of the rights have been sold and resold over the decades but for 2024, current TMNT comic book publishers IDW Publishing and rights holders Paramount Global have announced an extension of the partnership between the two companies. And that’s a full renewal of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book contract, and have plans for years of additional storytelling, with multiple new comic book titles planned.
Bleeding Cool mentioned a few the other day, more Kevin Eastman cover collections and layouts artist editions, as well as the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #150, and its collection, both this year.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with IDW Publishing for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and graphic novels,” said Lourdes Arocho, SVP, Licensing & Publishing, Consumer Products, Paramount. “After 40 years, there are still so many more stories to be told, and we can’t wait for everyone to see what’s next.”

They are part of the tapestry of comic book history and I’m honored to be publishing their continuing adventures during this milestone year,” stated IDW Co-Publisher Mark Doyle. “Our Editor-in-Chief Jamie S. While co-creator of the Turtles, Kevin Eastman is off on tour and selling these 40th anniversary caps. “We’ll be kicking off the Tour schedule in January in Italy and other international destinations include; Mexico, Greece, France and Canada – we are looking at 13 Convention appearances globally in 2024 and we hope to see you at one of these stops.”
