HoYoVerse has announced ahead of their delayed 2.7 update for Genshin Impact a new Twitch streamer event. People will be able to stream the game on the platform to earn free rewards such as Primogems and Acquaint fates.

Players have to register by the deadline of May 27 in order to participate. HoYoVerse will send an email on May 30 to let people know they have officially entered. From there, the Genshin Impact event is set to last from May 31, which is when the update is slated to launch, to June 21.

In order to get the rewards player are expected to do these things: the first being to stream their gameplay on Twitch under the Genshin Impact category, during which they must have their UID clearly visible during this time. They’ll gain Primogems and/or Acquaint fates by passing certain criteria or challenges during this event.

Some examples of this are “logging in” daily, which means streaming the game for at least one hour during that day. People can expect 10 Primogems each for days 1-6 and 8-13, while they’ll get 1 Acquaint Fate on day 7 and 3 on day 14. There is also a culminative hours streamed reward, where players can get 160 Primogems for playing 8-16 hours, 320 for streaming 16-24, and 640 for streaming Genshin Impact on Twitch for over 24 hours.

If you wish to participate in this event, then you’ll need to sign up on their website. This is also where one will submit their proof of completing the event.

What do you think of this news? It seems that HoYoVerse has taken notice of the success the Overwatch 2 beta had on Twitch. So does it sounds like a good idea to attempt and capture that magic once again?
