How to use the helicopter to fast travel in Gray Zone Warfare

While walking to your objectives is entirely possible, albeit a bit dangerous thanks to enemy soldiers or less-than-friendly friends, there is a way to get as close as possible to any of the places you will need to visit in Gray Zone Warfare without taking a single step. This is where the helicopter transport enters the equation. Here is how to use the helicopter to fast travel in Gray Zone Warfare.

Gray Zone Warfare: How to use the helicopter to fast travel

The helicopter is available to you as soon as you enter the game – which is arguably the hardest part of playing Gray Zone Warfare’s launch. To use it to fast travel, you will have to access the Map tab in the Main Menu after pressing the TAB button. There, you will be able to see the map with the locations of your Main Base and your faction’s Landing Zones – or LZs.

All you need to do once you are in the Map screen is to select any of the locations mentioned before – that is, the Main Base or any LZ – and then click on the Call Transport button. This will summon a helicopter which will arrive at your location represented by a green icon on the map. Once it arrives, press the F button to hop in.

Note, however, that there are a few limitations. Other than the destinations being limited, you cannot summon a helicopter from anywhere on the map. You will have to be in either Landing Zone or at your Main Base to travel by helicopter. If you are just starting up, don’t worry, you will unlock more Landing Zones while playing the game.

You can also hop on any helicopter summoned by your faction’s soldiers if you want to or encourage your party to use the one you have called. Beware that, while the helicopter qualifies as fast travel, you will have to wait for it to arrive at your location and fly you to the location you selected on the map. This means that, if you are not careful, you can be shot from the ground, so be sure to pack some weaponry with you to fast travel back to your Main Base safely.
