CAS – short for Create a Sim – is the tool you use before entering the game in order to edit a Sim exactly how you like them. But the CAS Full Edit mode allows you to tinker with a Sim’s appearance at any point during the game. Here’s how to use the CAS Full Edit cheat in The Sims 4.
When you turn CAS Full Edit Mode on, you can change just about anything on a Sim without leaving the game. Their clothes, their age, their relationships, their personality. Everything. If you want complete and utter control of your Sims, the CAS Full Edit cheat is what you need.

Below, we’ve outlined the steps you need to take in order to turn on and use the CAS Full Edit cheat in The Sims 4.
That’s it: now you’re free to edit anything you like about your sim. Who knew fixing bad habits or questionable personality traits was so easy?
The answer is yes, CAS Full Edit mode also works on both the Xbox and PlayStation versions of The Sims 4. It’s a little fiddlier to use since you’re using a controller rather than a keyboard and mouse.
It works exactly the same too, but the inputs are slightly different. On console, you’ll need to press both shoulder buttons and both triggers to bring up the dialogue box. That’s LB, LT, RB and RT on Xbox, and L1, L2, R1 and R1 on PlayStation.
Once you’ve activated cheat mode and CAS Full Edit mode, you’ll need to select a Sim to edit. Instead of shift and click, you need to hold down two controller buttons. On PlayStation, it’s circle + X, and on Xbox its B + A.
