While a cameo is oftentimes a passive and subtle role in an entertainment piece, Kameo fighters are far from being subtle. While you might expect them to be a gimmick, they actually work wonders toward a very streamlined Mortal Kombat experience. There are a total of 15 Kameo fighters to choose from and with 23 main roster kombatants, we have a great amount of possible deadly combinations. Get ready to experience characters from the MK franchise, paying tribute to the same and featuring classic (or should I say klassic?) and iconic moves and Fatalities. Here is how to use Kameo fighters in Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1: How to use Kameo fighters
Kameo fighters, while not being switchable characters, are very useful during kombat thanks to their variety of moves. They can hit hard, stun, connect combos, and cancels. They can even teleport you to the other side of the map. Each Kameo features different moves and styles that you can check out in the move list menu when you pause the game mid-battle. All you have to do is to use the Kameo button to summon your Kameo. Depending on the move, combine it with a directional input:
- RB on Xbox.
- R1 on PlayStation.
- R on Nintendo Switch.
