Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 02 brought four new weapons as part of the update. One is the KV Broadside shotgun, which is the first new shotgun to be added to MW2 following launch. This is our guide on how to unlock the KV Broadside shotgun in MW2 and Warzone 2.

How to unlock the KV Broadside shotgun in MW2 and Warzone 2
Dubbed the KV Broadside, MW2‘s latest shotgun is Call of Duty‘s interpretation of the real-world Vepr-12 semi-automatic shotgun. It is effectively a Kalashnikov rifle that has been repurposed to fire 12-gauge shotgun shells. As such, it shares a platform in-game with other Kalashnikov-inspired weapons such as the Kastov-762 and Vaznev-9K.
As with most weapons introduced in Modern Warfare 2, you can unlock the KV Broadside Shotgun through the Battle Pass. The shotgun is unlocked early on in the Pass found in the B4 sector. This is the first sector you gain access to in the entire Battle Pass, meaning that you only need a total of 5 Battle Pass tokens to unlock the KV Broadside shotgun.

As for other methods on how to unlock the KV Broadside shotgun, there currently aren’t any. However, if the past guns are anything to go by developer Infinity Ward will probably add a post-season challenge to unlock it once Season Two ends.
These post-season challenges are usually quite easy to complete and require less grinding than working through the Battle Pass. Although that comes at the cost of not being able to use the KV Broadside shotgun in competitive matches until Season 03.
