How To Unlock Ground Mounts
Want to unlock Ground Mounts in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, here’s a guide to help you get the Lord of The Shore.
There are many forms of travel in Hogwarts Legacy. You’re able to fly around on broomsticks and magical creatures. You can soar through the skies as fast as possible while enjoying amazing views. You can also travel using the ever-convenient Floo Flames scattered throughout the map.
However, one of the most inconvenient forms of travel is on the ground. Sometimes, you just have to run around on the ground wishing you could go faster. Thankfully, there is a way to make ground traveling faster. This is by traveling on ground mounts. Unfortunately, it isn’t unlocked until the later stages of the game.
How To Unlock Ground Mounts
Ground mounts will not be unlocked until you take on your final Keeper Trial — San Bakar’s Trial. The trial isn’t unlocked until you have completed all other Keeper Trials and proven that you’re capable of understanding the truth behind the ancient magic that they have fought so hard to protect. At this point, you’re pretty far along in the game’s main storyline. San Bakar will be the hardest of the four Keepers to convince that you’re ready to see the truth about what happens when witches and wizards misuse ancient magic.
Once you arrive at his trial, you will learn that you need to capture a Graphorn and bring it back to his trial entrance to gain access to his pensieve. This is where you will unlock your ground mount. Professor Fig will tell you about a Graphorn close by named The Lord of The Shore. After going to the den of the creature, you will need to battle and subdue it in order to gain it as a mount. Afterward, it will be yours to command as you see fit. This will allow you to use the Graphorn to travel much faster while traveling by ground.
What Ground Mounts Are Available?
Currently, the only ground mount available is The Lord of The Shore, which you subdue and capture during San Bakar’s Trial. While this is the only one for now, it doesn’t mean there couldn’t be different ones in future DLCs. You’ll just have to wait to see if you can tame more than The Lord of The Shore.
