What Is The Fortune Teller?

Fire Emblem Engage Fortune Teller-1

The Fortune Teller is the character Seadall. He allows you to see which units are best suited beside one another in battle. When you understand this, you are able to strengthen the bonds of your units much faster.

The stronger a bond is, the better the two will be in battle together. If two Units with high Support Ranks stand adjacent to one another during battle, they will receive special bonuses otherwise not available. These bonuses may increase stats such as Hit Chance, Avoidance, Critical Chance, and Dodge. Bonuses are different depending on the Units and their Support Rank.

Fire Emblem Engage Seadall-1

The Fortune Teller differs from other features of The Somniel because it can be missed in a playthrough. In Chapter 15, you will run into the character Seadall. If you do not interact with him during the battle, you won’t recruit him. If you do interact with Seadall during this Chapter, he will set up the Fortune Teller in The Somniel when you return. However, you cannot use the Fortune Teller unless it is night.

When you approach Seadall, he will ask you if you want him to read your fortune. After this, you must select a Unit that you want to work on bonding with other Units. Then, Seadall will tell you who this unit is thinking of, meaning that it is who they will bond with the fastest during the next battle. The more you use this feature, the faster your Units will bond with one another. After you have increased their bonds, you will see a significant shift in how well your team works together during battles.
