A collaboration between Vampire Survivors and the legendary Contra is a match made in heaven. If you want to play with the shiny new characters, here’s how to unlock Bill in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns
Bill is hidden in a Coffin located deep into the stage. As the new area is pretty intricate, I recommend checking your map and heading east until you reach the map icon (pictured above). The map reveals the layout of the entire stage, including bridges and other pickups.
You can find Bill’s coffin to the northeast by the question mark icon. More specifically, The coffin is on a small section of the map that’s only accessible via a small entry from the south (pictured above). Once you interact with the coffin, you’ll unlock Bill, and he will appear on the character list when you start a game. If you want to play as Bill right away, you can quit your current run the moment you reach him.
The new collab area is pretty difficult with many tanky enemies. With this in mind, I recommend waiting around the starting area for a few levels before you go exploring. It’s good to power up before you travel, as you’ll struggle if you go for Bill with vanilla weapons.
Any Vampire Survivors veteran will tell you to use any and every character. Once you’ve unlocked a few weapons, you can make anyone in the roster work. Synergies win games, and you can put those to good use no matter who you’re playing as.
The Contra Collab adds an incredible amount of content to Vampire Survivors, and it’s well worth the asking price. That said, make sure you try the Laborratory Free Update, where you can squash enemies with a train!
