Altar of Mirages is the new Domain in Genshin Impact that players can unlock to earn rewards. Here’s a guide to help you complete the objective.
The Great Red Sand region in Genshin Impact brought about four new domains for travelers to complete and gain rewards from. One of these domains is the Altar of Mirages, located within the Khemenu Temple.
To find and unlock the Altar of Mirages, though, there are a few steps you will have to take care of beforehand. Follow our process below, and you’ll be on your way to opening the Altar of Mirages in no time.
Altar Of Mirages Prerequisites
Before you can locate or seek out the Altar of Mirages on the map, you will need to complete a few quests in the Great Red Sand. This includes Golden Slumber, a series of quests that allow you to explore the desert area without restrictions. It will also unlock Khaj-Nisut, a large building located in the Land of Lower Setekh.
In order to unlock Golden Slumber, you will want to head to the Statue of the Seven located within Aaru Village. Head across the bridge to the entrance of the city, and you will find a man named Bonifaz here. Talk to him to unlock the first quest in Golden Slumber, ‘Lost in the Sands.’ After this, there will be three other quests you must complete for Golden Slumber, including ‘An Introduction to Indoor Archaeology,’ ‘The Secret of Al-Ahmar,’ and ‘Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand.’
Upon completing all of these quests, you will then be able to explore every area of Great Red Sand, including the Altar of Mirages.
How To Unlock Altar Of Mirages
When you have completed all the required quests for Golden Slumber, you will now be able to unlock and complete the Altar of Mirages. Start by teleporting to the Hypostyle Desert Teleport Waypoint nearby to Khemenu Temple (shown above).
When you arrive, continue forward into the next room. There will be another entrance to the right, which you will want to head into. Keep heading straight through the room until you see a glowing book outside a door, shown above. Interact with this to open up the door and enter the next room.
Then, use the Four-Leaf Sigils to go down through the crack in the floor. When you fall through here, head up the stairs to the left, and you will find the Altar of Mirages.
Altar Of Mirages Rewards
The Altar of Mirages is a relatively simple domain and will only require you to defeat 18 enemies on the battlefield. It recommends you bring along a Dendro character, but this is not required to complete the domain. Upon completing Altar of Mirages, you will receive these items:
- 40x Primogems
- 30,000x Mora
- 5x Dendro Sigils
- 500x Adventure EXP
- 2x Hero’s Wit
- 4x Mystic Enhancement Ore
- 2x Guide to Praxis
- 1x The Sunken Years
You will also be able to open a Precious Chest after completing the domain. For us, the Chest contained the following:
- 10x Primogems
- 30x Adventure EXP
- 3x Dendro Sigils
- 1x Instructor’s Tea Cup
- 1x Adventurer’s Pocket Watch
- 2x Adventurer’s Experience
