How to Transfer Pokemon from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to Pokémon Home

Guides

The Pokemon Home 2.0.0 update is live across all platforms, and players can finally store, transfer, and trade Pokemon across dozens of games, including Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Initially, the latest titles from the Pokemon Game series weren’t compatible with the Pokemon Home, and Nintendo had confirmed that the feature would arrive “sometime in 2022”. Now the support is finally here, and here’s a guide to transferring Pokemon from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to Pokemon Home.

In order to send Pokemon to Pokemon Home, you must first link your Home account with the game account. To do that, open the Pokemon game, which is Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in our case, and tap the Poke Ball icon on the map.

Next, tap the Settings button at the top right of the screen and select Pokemon Home. Finally, sign in using the Nintendo Account associated with your Pokemon Home account.

From the Pokemon Home section, tap Send Pokemon to begin the process of sending Pokemon to your Pokemon Home account. Once you’ve selected the Pokemon, tap Transport to finish the process.

Do note that the Pokemon that have been sent to Pokemon Home cannot be returned to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so make sure to double-check the list of Pokemon you’re sending.

Pokemon Home Basic vs. Premium Plan

However, it’s worth noting that Pokemon Home comes in two different plans – Basic and Premium. Here’s a comparison table to easily differentiate between both the plans:

While the basic plan is free, players can purchase the Premium Plan for 30, 90, and 365 days at the cost of $2.99, $4.99, and $15.99, respectively.

That’s everything you need to know about transferring Pokemon from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to Pokemon Home. For more tips and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
