Much like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves provides you with a number of currencies to spend. But in order to partake in the main bulk of the content in WuWa, you’re gonna need some Waveplate. Similar to Resin in Genshin, this currency is going to be your main way to take on bosses and more. So let’s face our foes and figure out how to spend and restore Waveplate in Wuthering Waves.
Waveplate is the currency you’ll spend to participate in events such as Simulation Training, rechallenging bosses, dungeons, and daily collections. Spending it is quite simple, as all you have to do is unlock the modes that require Waveplate to partake in. For the Simulation Training, all I had to do was progress through the story a bit, before the game told me to talk to an NPC on the north side of Jinzhou.
Thankfully, you’re not just throwing away your precious Waveplate, as every event you complete rewards you with various items and resources. While the prizes might be different depending on the activity (such as resonance potions), you’ll almost always obtain some amount of Union EXP. However, you’re Waveplate is finite, and once you run out of it, you’re gonna need to replenish it.
Restoring Waveplate in WuWa works in a couple of different ways, depending on if you have the proper currency. Normally, you can just wait to have your Waveplate replenished which replenished all 240 in 24 hrs.
Alternatively, you can spend Crystal Solvents or Astrites to immediately restore Waveplate in Wuthering Waves. The downside to this option, you can only replenish 60 Astrite for 60 Waveplate at a time, with a maximum of 6 times per day.
There are so many things you can spend Waveplate on in WuWa that you’ll want to get those activities out of the way as soon as possible. That way, if you don’t feel like using Astrite you’ll be able to recharge Waveplate a lot quicker. More Waveplate, more Union EXP, and that gets you one step closer to being able to try out Wuthering Waves multiplayer.
