I didn’t expect Portal: Revolution to get so hard so quickly, but Chamber 8 in Chapter 1 is a challenging one. Though it took me a while, I’ve completed Portal: Revolution Chamber 8 so I can teach you how to do it.
Portal: Revolution Chamber 8 is all about lasers and elevators. Contrary to Portal 1 and 2, lasers don’t hurt you in Portal: Revolution, which is very useful to know in this puzzle. First, place your blue portal on the ground wall and walk through. Press the button to spawn the glass box.

Now, shoot your blue portal over to the wall on the platform. Walk through the orange portal and place the glass box in line with the laser shooting through the blue portal to activate the switch.
You’ll notice the elevator in the center of the room rises. Shoot your blue portal on the lower wall to cut off the laser switch which brings the elevator down. When you are on the elevator, place your blue portal back on the laser wall.
Once up top, shoot a blue portal on the wall facing the switch. Grab the normal box and walk through the blue portal. Drop the normal box and shoot your blue portal at the laser wall. Grab the normal box, walk through the orange portal, and place the normal box on the ground switch.
Now, repeat your steps to get up the elevator. Once at the top, place a blue portal on the wall opposite the laser switch. Walk through it and spawn a new glass box. Place the glass box so it shoots through the orange portal to the laser switch on the other side. Now, walk through the orange portal and walk through the open exit door.
Well done! You’ve beat Chamber 8 in Portal: Revolution. You might as well navigate over to our Portal: Revolution Chamber 9 guide because I think that puzzle is even harder than this one.
