Some people show their best side the moment you meet them. Others only open up to show their better side once they’ve had an interaction with someone that shakes their perspective to the core. If you’re up for putting in the work, there is a character that can be romanced that fits this description in Stardew Valley.

Haley’s Schedule

Now most villagers in Pelican Town have schedules that need to be constantly mapped in order to know where they are at any given moment. Even the most seasoned player can forget their favorite villager’s schedule with all the deviations. Thankfully Haley is a creature of habit like most of the world. She sticks to a more simple routine that makes it far easier to track her down on any given day.

During Spring, Haley gets up and leaves her home at 11am. She heads to Cindersnap Forest at the river just South of Marnie’s House and a little bit away from Leah’s home on Mondays. For the rest of the week, Haley can be found at the fountain near the Community Center. No matter which location she is at Haley heads home around 4:30pm, and stays there for the rest of the night. If there is rain, she stays at home all day.

Once Summer rolls around, her routine changes slightly. Rain still keeps her at home, but that isn’t the only day she is a homebody. On Wednesdays in the Summer Haley will stay home all day. Every other day of the week she heads out to the beach around 10:30am and then makes her way to the ice cream stand near the Museum at 1:30pm. Around 5pm, Haley will head home and remains there for the rest of the evening.

Fall sees a hybrid of her schedules. Rain still keeps her home as does Wednesdays like in Summer. Mondays she returns to taking pictures in Cindersnap South of Marnie’s. All other days she also returns to her fountain timeline like in Spring. She still leaves at 11am for her respective locations as well as heads back home around 4:30pm – 5pm when she makes trips out.

In Winter Haley stays home almost every day. There are exceptions to this. Wednesdays have her following her fountain routine by leaving around 11am from home and returning around 4:30pm – 5pm. She also has that same timeframe for her visit to Harvey’s Clinic on Winter 9. Her Nightmarket trip is Winter 16, and she will leave home around 4:30pm to go to the market, and returns home at 11:30pm.

Haley’s Favorite Gifts

Stardew Valley - Haley Gifting

Getting someone to like you is relatively simple in Pelican Town. Simply keep a stock of their favorite gifts on hand, and give them 2 per week. The exception to this is that players can also gift to an NPC on their birthday which makes for a 3 gift week. Haley’s Birthday is Spring 14, and because of this, as well as her liked and loved gifts, some folks managed to speed run marrying her before the 1st Flower Dance on Spring 22. It’s not easy, but it can be done. Her best gifts are listed below.

  • All Universal Loves (Except Prismatic Shard)
    • Rabbit’s Foot
    • Golden Pumpkin
    • Pearl
    • Magic Rock Candy
  • Sunflower
  • Coconut
  • Fruit Salad
  • Pink Cake

*She likes Daffodils as well for those looking for a liked gift to help speed run her romance.

Haley’s Heart Events

Stardew Valley - Haley Headshot

Starting off with the 2 heart event, players will want to head to Haley and Emily’s house to find the 2 sisters fighting it out at a time they are both present. When the farmer steps in, the best response to increase friendship points with Haley is negotiating that it is her weekly chore to net 30 friendship points.

Go back to Haley’s home for the 4 heart event when she is there. She’ll be struggling in the kitchen and needs some help. Tell her you are strong. This will add 30 more friendship points to your total.

Any time you head to the beach between 10 am and 4 pm during a season that isn’t Winter, the 6 heart scene will play out. Be sympathetic to her loss for 50 points of friendship. The item in question is behind a bush next to Elliot’s house.

The 8 heart event has no bearing on friendship levels as no questions need to be answered correctly. Instead, take your farmer to Cindersnap Forest on a sunny day in Spring, Summer, or Fall between 10 am and 4 pm for a cute photo-op.

After giving her a Bouquet from Pierre’s and getting to 10 hearts, head to Haley’s house while she’s there. She’ll show you her hobby space, and if you tell her it looks great, your farmer will score 10 points of friendship. There’s also a second question that has no bearing on levels but could end in a kiss if you play your cards right.

Once the farmer has spoken to the Old Mariner and obtained the Mermaid Necklace, they can propose to Haley. After marriage, a 14 heart event will eventually play out. This is prompted by entering town on a day without rain between 8 am and 3 pm. The second phase happens as soon as the next day at the farmhouse between 6:20 am and 5 pm. Then the third and final part can happen the following day if there is no rain. In order for the final part to play out, the farmer must have a chocolate cake in their inventory and enter town between 6 am and 3 pm. No questions asked during this 3 part event have any effects on friendship levels.
