How to respec skills in Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade’s skill tree is expansive and accommodates multiple playstyles, so everyone’s combat style will look different from one another. Just like in most action RPGs, though, some people will want to respec and start over from square one.

Thankfully, Stellar Blade offers cheap and frequent respec opportunities if you want to test out other abilities or undo a mistake you’ve made. There are a ton of skill points to earn in Stellar Blade quite early in the game, but if you want to completely redo your entire skill tree, the ability to respec is always an option.

How to Reset Your Skill Points in Stellar Blade

To respec and reset your skill tree in Stellar Blade, you need to use an item called an SP Initializer. These can be purchased from the shop at rest areas and obtained as rewards for some side quests. They’re fairly cheap, only setting you back 200 Gold each at shops, and you can use as many of them as you want.

They’re not unlimited, however, so you can’t just redesign your entire skill tree before every boss fight to better suit the situation. While you can stock up on SP Initializers every time you see them in stock, shops only carry a few at a time and they won’t refresh until you progress further in the game.

If you make a mistake or end up regretting a skill investment in Stellar Blade, then you may not need to waste an SP Initializer on it. The game gives you a ton of skill points for just exploring and defeating enemies, so you can always grind in an area by resting and respawning enemy Naytibas over and over to afford the skills you really want. Make sure to test out your abilities in Stellar Blade’s training mode to see which skills are worth unlocking.
