How to reset dungeons in Diablo 4

During the days of the last few betas of Diablo 4, you could reset the dungeon at the click of a button. However, for the Sever Slam and the full-game release, Blizzard Entertainment has taken out that option. Doing dungeons can be important,  you can find many things like Aspects, gear, and more. But what if you’re in the dungeon and a friend wants to run it with you? Or if you’re trying to farm a nifty piece of gear? The good news, there is a way to restart everything in the dungeon. Read this guide on how to reset dungeons in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4: How To reset dungeons

This option should be easy and straightforward, but for one reason or another, I had to go through hoops.

If you’re also running the many strongholds in the game such as the ones in Fractured Peaks, this method works as well. So read on.

One would assume, if you want to reset a dungeon you’d just need to teleport to a waypoint. In theory, this would work, but the reality is that it doesn’t really reset. It just pauses the dungeon.

To reset, you have to fully leave and fully exit the dungeon. To do this, press E on your keyboard and look for the option: Leave Dungeon. It should be on the first page of the radial menu.

After you’ve pressed it, this should take you to the start of the dungeon. When you’re here, leave out the exit and wait for a few minutes. After, head back and everything should have reset for you.

An easier way to reset would be to log out. But in this way, you’ll have to make your way back to the stronghold or dungeon. Leaving the dungeon as opposed to logging out, seems to be the fastest method.

Why reset?

There are many reasons to reset, as mentioned, it’s a great way to farm for items. Plus, if you’re with someone who’s lower than you, you can still run the dungeon and still get XP since the game scales to your level.
