Where to get the Carrot Juice Bottle

You can obtain the Carrot Juice Bottle from Wang’s shop, which you can find as you progress through the starting area of the game. It is in a building with a sign depicting a bottle. You won’t be able to obtain juice immediately, as Wang will attempt to sell you a bottle at a price Rayton is unwilling to pay for.

To obtain the Carrot Juice Bottle, continue exploring right until you receive a quest to return. Once you enter Wang’s shop again, you should find him being harassed by dogs. Take care of the enemies, and Wang will decide to give you a bottle for free.

Using Carrot Juice

After obtaining your bottle, you can drink from it by pressing and holding your right trigger. Drinking Carrot Juice will consume 1 EP. You start out with only 2 max EP. You can obtain more EP by collecting enough EP compounds, which are hidden collectibles scattered throughout the world.

It’s important to note is that drinking Carrot Juice is not instantaneous. You need to hold the button down until Rayton finishes drinking. If you let go of the button before the animation finishes, or if you are hit by an enemy, the juice won’t take effect. Make sure you get your vital heal in!

Refilling Carrot Juice

As discussed previously, Carrot Juice is tied to your EP, which is the orange gauge below your health bar. Here are the different ways you can refill your EP.

Repair at the Terminal

Similarly to health, EP can be restored by visiting a terminal. Simply interact with the repair station and choose to repair. After the repairs are finished, you should have a full EP bar again.

When you’re defeated and brought back to a terminal, you’ll automatically get your EP back, so there is no need to worry about repairing again before heading off.

Collecting Pick-ups

While traversing Torch City, you may come across some containers with an orange, glowing outline. Break these containers, and you should find pickups that restore your EP inside.

Note that these containers won’t do anything if you already have a full EP bar. It’s better to save opening them until you need them.

Unlock the Execution+ Skill

One of the skills you can unlock is the Execution+ skill. This skill enables you to gain EP every time you perform an execution on an enemy. This is a great way to stay stocked up on health, provided that you make sure to consistently execute enemies. To find this skill, visit a terminal and choose to unlock skills. Execution+ is right below where the normal Execution skill is and takes 500 coins to unlock.

To execute an enemy, lower their health with your attacks. Once their health falls below a threshold, they should be glowing orange, and an “execute” prompt should show up when you walk near them. Perform a grab on them, and Rayton will viciously finish them off.
