If you decide to purchase furniture or workstations in this action RPG, you’ll quickly come to realize that you can’t put them down anywhere, even in your Rookery. Here’s how to place down furniture in No Rest for the Wicked.
Once you make it to Sacrament you can finally get some furniture that is either useful like workstations, or is just for decoration. But why can’t you place them in the Rookery? Where else can they go? You can place furniture in No Rest for the Wicked in your purchased home.
After completing the quest “Of Rats and Raiders“, you’ll unlock the ability to purchase one of three houses in Sacrament. The game won’t tell you that you’ll earn a home after helping Whittacker get rid of Darak. You’ll first have to fight Darak in the Orban Glades, then you’ll figure out that he fled to the sewers, leading you to fight Darak who will now have two difficult boss fight phases.
Once you defeat Darak, Whittacker will inform you that you’re now a member of Sacrament and can buy a house. Here are the three options available to you:
I purchased The Homestead for 25 Silver, and there was plenty of room for me to place furniture and workstations. Now that you have your house, enter it and open your inventory. At this point, you want to see if you have any furniture to place. If not, you can purchase furniture from Whittacker, while Danos sells workstations to craft items. You can also purchase blueprints to craft furniture.
Now that you’ve spent some money on furniture, take it back to your house and use the item. It’ll bring up the ghostly version of the object, allowing you to place it wherever you’d like. If it’s red, you can’t place it. But if it’s green, the furniture’s good to go.
Change the direction it’s facing with the right analog stick and you can even hold LB on your controller to hold it in place while finding a good spot for it. Press the Y button to set it down, and voila! Now you have furniture in your house. I recommend purchasing a chest for more storage since the community chest is pretty small.
