Don’t you hate placing down a nice new build of yours in a survival game, but then realize it’s not exactly where you want it? Luckily, in Nightingale, you don’t have to destroy and rebuild it again, so let’s go over how to move buildings and structures.

Nightingale: How to move structures and buildings

Moving around placed objects is super easy and intuitive in this survival crafting game. How you can move placed buildings and structures in Nightingale is pressing the “X” key for build mode, then the “R” key to move it.

After you’ve created your Abeyance Realm and started building up your base, you can enter build mode by pressing the “X” key. This brings up a few different options that will allow you for seamless build options, such as:

  • Q: Copy a structure.
  • R: Move a structure.
  • V: Delete a structure.

You not only can copy something you’ve built (instead of reselecting the recipe in your menu), but you can also move the placed structure to a different location. Once you press the “R” key while looking at the structure, it’ll allow you to move it somewhere else, rotate it, and even adjust the height. It’ll also tell you the positive or negative traits of this new placement.

I even tried this with chests full of items, and it works! You don’t have to lug items back and forth between new chests. Instead, you can just move the chest from one area to the next. As a reminder, if you decide to delete a structure, you will get the materials back. This is better than hitting the structure until it breaks.

Now that you know how to move around structures and buildings, do you know how to destroy buildings in Nightingale? We have a guide that can help you out.
