How to make Paint in Lightyear Frontier

0

In Lightyear Frontier you can use Paint to add a splash of color to your mech and structures back at home. If the standard color scheme isn’t doing much for you, then you can change it to any of the game’s other options using some handy tools.

Lightyear Frontier: How to make Paint

Paint is made by using a Flower Press to take your Colorflowers and crush them up. Then you’ll get a color that’s dependent on what you put in. For example, Red Colorflower will make Red Paint, while a Blue Colorflower makes Blue Paint.

In order to unlock the Flower Press you’ll need to find the materials that make it. Six Copper Ore and four Aluminum Frames are needed in this case. Copper Ore can be found in the Edge Cliffs area after you’ve cleaned out all the Noxious Weeds. Aluminum Frames can be made by combining two Aluminum Rods in the Assembler. Once that’s done you’ll be set to make a Flower Press.

How many colors to choose from

There are a total of five Colorflowers to find in Lightyear Frontier that you can use to make Paint with. Some only appear in very specific regions on the map while others appear in multiple locations. I never really had much trouble finding Colorflowers myself as they seemed to be pretty common. My advice is to scour every little corner of the area as they can sometimes be easy to miss in certain lighting conditions.

  • Red Colorflower – Found in Edge Cliffs, Pine Heights, Lowland Plains, Tornado Rock Isle
  • Blue Colorflower – Found in The Meadow, Tornado Rock Isle, Yellow Forest
  • Yellow Colorflower – Found in Mountainside Coast, Tornado Rock Isle
  • Black Colorflower – Found in Tornado Rock Isle
  • White Colorflower – Found in Tornado Rock Isle, Lowland Plains

These aren’t all the colors you can make though. If you craft a Color Mixer with 10 Red Crystal Dust and 12 Hardwood, you’ll be able to mix two colors. This lets you experiment and get fun colors like green and purple. It’s certainly a lot of effort to get the right colors together but gathering materials is half the fun of Lightyear Frontier.

Now get ready to make your home look snazzy with a bunch of new colors. Of course, you can always tear your base down and start over again if a simple coat of paint won’t do the job.
