How to improve your students’ grades

0

All of your building, hiring, and teaching will be for nothing if you don’t get good results at the end of each year in Two Point Campus. The game does a good job of drip-feeding you everything you need to keep things running smoothly, but when you’ve got a huge campus where students are starting to fail, it’s not always obvious why.

It’s not too hard to get yourself up and running, we’ve put together this in-depth guide to ensure you get the most out of every class. If you follow these steps as you expand your campus then your students will perform at their best, but if you’ve already got a big campus that’s struggling, you can use this as a checklist to see where you need to improve.

Specialise your teachers

Once you unlock the ability to train your teachers, you might think it’d be a good idea to train teachers that can teach multiple subjects. While this may seem efficient, it’s a “jack of all trades, master of none” situation. You’ll be much better off if you spend your time and money getting your teachers as high a level as possible in just one subject for the best grades.

Keep everyone happy

If people are sad or bored, they won’t perform well in class. We’ve got a full guide to student happiness, but you should keep your staff in high spirits too because a grumpy teacher will give a bad class. Make sure there are Staff Rooms everywhere, and all the usual facilities are closeby to every classroom. You can also train your staff to be friendly and entertaining, or run events to give everyone a boost.

Research and upgrade your equipment

Having a high-level classroom is a given, but there’s only so much your students can do with the basic gear. Once you’ve unlocked the research station, you should be always looking to get higher-level stuff and make sure you’ve got janitors that can upgrade them. This will improve your student’s results, and keep them engaged in the class for longer, so everybody wins.

Have plenty of private tutors

When students aren’t doing so well in their class, private tutors are the perfect way to let them catch up. If a class doesn’t go very well, then you can manually send the students from it to the tutors, so you should always have a few on hand. As a minimum, you should have two for each subject, but if you can afford more then do it.

Upgrade your courses

As you level up your campus you’ll earn course points. You can use these to unlock new courses, which is great for earning a lot of money, but if you want the best results then you should be upgrading your existing courses instead. As the course level increases, your teachers get better, you’ll get more students into classes, and the maximum grade each student can get is increased.

It’ll boost your yearly income too, so if you can afford the new rooms and staff it requires, then there’s no downside to upgrading as often as possible.
