How to get the Longbow in V Rising

The Longbow is added to V Rising with the 1.0 update and gives us another ranged weapon option besides the Crossbow. In this guide, you’ll learn exactly where to get the Longbow in V Rising.

V Rising Longbow: How to unlock it

To get the Longbow in V Rising, you need to defeat Lidia the Chaos Archer, a level 30 boss.

You’ll be rewarded with the Longbow after defeating Lidia the Chaos Archer. If you’re familiar, you can carry on without a hitch. However, if you need a refresher, or are a new player, then you’ll need to know how to defeat her.

How to defeat Lidia the Chaos Archer in V Rising

Lidia the Chaos Archer is a roaming boss who will travel the roads of Vardoran in the Farbane Woods. She won’t walk around all the wood, but a large area primarily below the Forgotten Cemetery. If you want help, then you can select the boss in your V Blood Menu to highlight a path.

However, as she roams around, it would be recommended to clear any enemies you find in your path so they don’t interrupt the fight. Just make sure you have adequate time left before the dawn breaks.

You may also find her in combat with the Alpha Wolf or Goreswine the Ravager, making your job considerably easier. And don’t worry, this fight is much easier than fighting Simon Belmont.

When battling Lidia the Chaos Archer, make sure your level is at least 30, especially when playing alone, to match her strength. Her fight isn’t too difficult, as long as you’re patient and learn her attacks initially. I would advise you not be so aggressive with your first fight to ensure you’re learning her patterns. Although note these do change when she’s lost some health.

She is initially prone to swiftly launching knives at you, although they can be dodged without too much effort. Before long she’ll prefer to use AoE attacks, however, so make sure to steer clear.

Due to her brief invisibility and leaving Chaos Fire everywhere, fighting her in melee is tricky. As more Chaos Fire spreads, you’ll have to bait her out to a new area to close the distance and get some hits in. Do not overexert yourself, as she’ll take advantage of it to punish you with quick blows and Chaos Fire, suppressing and punishing you.

Once Lidia the Chaos Archer is dead, drink her V Blood to be rewarded with many things, one of which is the Longbow. Now that you know how to get the Longbow in V Rising, I wonder if you’ll prefer it to the Crossbow.
