How to get the Centrifuse Catalyst in Destiny 2

With new seasons come new weapons, and this time, with Season of The Deep, we have been given Centrifuse. This all-new auto rifle has a low rate of fire and low magazine but packs quite a punch. It is no doubt targeted towards the Arc-style players but can be a formidable weapon in anyone’s hands with enough practice. It is possible to get the Centrifuse at level one of the season pass for players that have it and level 35 for those that don’t, but getting the Catalyst will take a little more work.

First, you will have to get your hands on the Centrifuse. It is awarded through the season pass. Once you have it in your arsenal, it’s time to visit Banshee-44 in the tower. He will give you the mission that will eventually get you the Centrifuse Catalyst in Destiny 2. The Catalyst requires three steps to unlock.

Centrifuse Catalyst step 1

The first step towards getting the Centrifuse Catalyst requires a total of 20 rapid kills and 40 Final Blows with Arc damage. This isn’t too much of a challenge and should be able to be done in one run-through. Make sure you have your Arc loadout set up for maximum damage. Then when you have managed to complete this, head to Banshee-44 again for the next step.

Centrifuse Catalyst step 2

The next step will take you a little longer. You are required to kill 450 enemies and generate Calibration Data. Calibration Data is collected by getting kills in Crucible, Vanguard, and Seasonal events. You can get even more by doing these at higher levels. Once this is completed, it’s time to revisit Banshee-44 to get the last step in the Centrifuse Catalyst.

Centrifuge Catalyst step 3

The final step is the one that will really keep you playing. Catalysts are only really awarded to players who have given their all to the gun, and this is no different. The final step for the Centrifuse Catalyst will require you to get around 700 kills with it. Get out there and start grinding.

What does the Catalyst do?

The Catalyst slowly builds overcharge while amplified, only furthering its arc damage. The Catalyst will make this weapon a perfect PvE weapon, clearing mobs in seconds.
