Just like other MMORPGs, Lost Ark has a heavy focus on combat. Upgrading, battling, and becoming the strongest in Arkesia is a common goal. There are many PvP-based areas and challenges, including fighting NPCs, other players, and dungeons. Leveling up, picking good upgrades and builds, and gaining the skills to overcome large obstacles are necessary to progress through the storyline.
The Book of Demons is something said to be useful in combat in the future, yet is currently useless. With this, it’s mostly collected for the fun of it instead of becoming the strongest. Some players hold onto it just in case an update is released that will allow players with it to become stronger, or as some hope, have a demon to fight alongside you in the heat of battle.
Collecting The Book Of Demons
Selling for the price of 250 shillings. Be wary when deciding to purchase this book, as selling it will not give back nearly as much as what has been spent. Selling for only 13 silver, this gag item is not something everyone will collect due to its low usage. Sold in the Flowering Orchard, a merchant demon named Naphta is selling it. Flowering Orchard in particular is located in East Luterra and is home to many quest lines throughout the game.
Shillings can be earned from general gameplay. Dungeons, quests, and discovering the world of Arkesia. A good way to earn shillings is to explore different islands and areas, find NPCs, and accept their quests. Quests give a variety of rewards, so completing quests to earn shillings gives a variety of other items that could be more useful than the Book of Demons. Earning 6,250 will allow access to both the Book of Demons and the Laugh Emote in one visit to Naphta.
To find Naphta, go to the very end of Flowering Orchard. Flowering Orchard has a lot of paths, twists, and turns. Naphta is relatively easy to find, as she doesn’t lie in one of these turns or paths, but rather the end at the top. She alternatively has a quest that can be completed but sells the book too. She also sells the laugh emote for 6,000 shillings. Unlike the Book of Demons, the laugh emote can be used at any point by reading the book obtained in your inventory. The Book of Demons can not be read, as it still has no use at all. Back in Season 1, the book could be used to obtain a weapon, but since has been gathering cobwebs in player inventories. Maybe someday, there will be an update discussing the Book of Demons and its use.
